The challenge:
Flare is a natural zinc-based sunscreen alternative. they're target audience are surfers due to the long-lasting protect and water-resistance of zinc, making it perfect for long hours in the water.
Flare came to us wanting something that felt like it spoke to the core of what the business is about, however they didn't know how to define it yet. We worked closely to develop a strong brand identity and a tagline that spoke to the brand.
In the ideation process we came up with the tagline - Sun, Sea, Unity. This speaks to what Flare is all about, the elements of Sun and sea working together in balance. No chemicals, no harm to the ocean or your skin.
We brought together these 3 elements in the logo mark to reaffirm this core brand message.
